Homestay with nomads in Morocco is an Authentic experience and eco-friendly adventure allow you to live like local Berber nomads for a few nights. a cultural adventure that allows will inspire you while exploring one of the oldest lifestyles on the earth. Live, learn, travel, and challenge yourself among a Nomad family while participating in their daily life. Immerse yourself in the nomadic cultures of Morocco and learn the ways in which they’ve survived in the country’s harsh landscapes on this community-based trip. We’ll head into the High Atlas mountains to meet with our host family. Over the next two days, we’ll milk animals, make food, herd livestock, and learn the ancient art of nomadic felt-making. OVERVIEW OF MOROCCO CULTURAL TOUR – HOMESTAY WITH NOMADS: Duration: 3 days/2nights minimum/ 6 days Maximum Type: Eco-friendly Morocco Tour Departure: Marrakech Arrival: Marrakech Location of the homestay: Ait Bouguemez region ( High Atlas mountains) Availability: From May to September Tribe family: Ait Atta HOMESTAY WITH NOMADS ITINERARY: Live the adventure in the Atlas mountains, an Eco-friendly tour that will take you deep into the culture of nomads in Morocco Day 1: Marrakech – Ouzoud waterfalls – High Atlas Mountains Our homestay with the nomads in the high Atlas Mountains began by picking you up from your hotel/Riad in Marrakech at 8 am. Our first stop of the day allows us to discover the famous Ouzoud waterfalls, and hike around the falls while learning more about our nature, culture, and homestay expectations. Later on, We will stop at Azilal for the midday meal. We invite you to a local restaurant, where you can test a delicious Moroccan Tagine. Afternoon, We enjoy a peaceful drive admiring the landscape of the Atlas mountains. Meet our hosted nomad family and start your Morocco green tour. Before settling your tent, we invite you to participate and help the nomads, by taking one of the daily tasks, Bringing water, or a wood fire would be your first challenge. Admire the sound of nature with the starry night of the Atlas mountains, setting around the fire while having your meal and sharing some peals of laughter. Day 2: Full day/night with the nomad family Today is your day to witness how the nomads live, with their herd of goats, mules, donkeys, chickens, dogs, and often camels. Get involved in how they prepare meals, participate in animal care, and goat milking, and learn some authentic ways of surviving. For those who wish to graze the goats and do some hiking, it’s a daily option. No matter what you do, With our expert local guide, we know your day with the nomad family will be a life-changing experience, expanding your appreciation of life’s precious moments, both big and small. Day 3: High Atlas Mountains – Ait Bouguemez valley – Imi N Ifri – Marrakech After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to our Nomad family. Drive to Ait Bouguemez valley, known also as the Happy valley admiring the Berber authentic villages and the green fields. Stop for memorable pictures along the way. Driving through the red valley of Ayt Bouolli, often we take a chance to explore one of the weekly markets along the way. We arrive at Imi N Ifri, where we stop for lunch. Later on, we walk to explore the beautiful caves of Imi N Ifri before we head back to Marrakech. End of our homestay with Nomads in Morocco by dropping you off at your hotel/Riad.
