We are a family of four, my husband, Reddy, my two children Randy and Rachel and I living in Centro Habana in a cool, clean and quiet house located on the first floor (25 steps) with three comfortable rooms for rent. We live in the same house and we are delighted to interact with our guests as a big family. Likewise, we give them the privacy and tranquility they need. English is spoken in the house and we can also communicate in French and Italian. At home we really enjoy interacting with our guests, a coffee, a tea, a cozy atmosphere, a pleasant chat.

I’m so happy to have had the experience of staying with Fanny and her family. The house is well located and room is comfortable, but beyond that, they welcomed me like one of the household and made me feel at home as a newcomer in Cuba. Starting from when I made the reservation, Fanny was consistently responsive, warm and friendly and assisted with all the inquiries I made about the trip. She and her mother (a professor of languages) speak English fluently as well as various other languages. The home is shared with the family including Fanny, her husband, mother and two (polite and well-behaved) kids, which provided a window into Cuban life and culture while still leaving plenty of space for privacy. The house is spacious and doesn’t feel at all crowded. The family is warm and friendly, and will chat with you as much or little as you like. The location is just next to El Prado, the major pedestrian boulevard dividing Old Havana and Central Havana. It was easy to walk to all the major tourist attractions in Old Havana, go for a walk on the Malecon, as well as experience daily life in a typical Cuban neighborhood. As a solo female traveler I felt safe in the area at any time of the day or night. The room is cool and comfortable with windows and really high ceilings. The listing says the bathroom is shared, but it was kept so spotlessly clean and available at all times that it felt like having a private bathroom. As noted in the listing description, the location is one where there is a lot of night life and so you hear occasional music and conversation from the street until late, but this will be the case for pretty much any casa particular in Havana. Air conditioning and wifi worked fine throughout my stay. Fanny and her mother will help you find reliable service providers for changing money, transportation, tours etc. I’d highly recommend the optional breakfast, which is provided at a reasonable price and is very delicious and filling. If I ever return to Havana, I will certainly stay with Fanny and her family again.
