I like nature and the sea, I help protect it, and I have a beautiful garden of plants, including fruit, ornamental and medicinal. I am a member of the global sustainability group to make the planet an easier place to live. I would like to share with you and exchange conversations on different topics. I believe in universal energy. I graduated from the National Institute of Tourism and worked in the activity for many years until I started my business 24 years ago. My stay with Teresa was one of my most special and memorable experiences in Cuba. When a previous reservation didn’t work out, Teresa went out of her way to prepare a room so that I could arrive one day early. The home itself is unique, as all the rooms open onto a lovingly tended patio and garden full of fruit trees, which is cool and shaded with plenty of places to sit and relax. Teresa keeps honey bees (of a species that don’t sting) and she let us guests help her harvest the honey! Many hosts in Cuba offer breakfast, but Teresa’s breakfast was amazing: fresh eggs from her own chicken, homemade crepes with honey from her honeybees, a variety of fresh organic fruits from her garden, etc. Teresa went above and beyond to help me with a project I was working on, arranging meetings and even taking me out to the coast on her motorbike. I arrived as a guest but left as a friend. If I ever come back to Trinidad, I will certainly stay with Teresa again.
